Describe your background and industry experience, and explain how it will help you contribute to the SOCAN Board of Directors?
With more than 35 years of experience in the music industry, I have developed strategic and operational expertise across several key areas of the sector. I have devoted over 30 years to distribution, working with independent companies as well as a major corporation, which has enabled me to master commercial dynamics and the challenges associated with digital transformation.
My career has also included responsibilities in audio production, show production, and venue management. These experiences are closely connected to music publishing, where I have helped support the creation and dissemination of works.
This path has given me a broad view of the cultural ecosystem and its challenges. I want to put this expertise to work for the Board of Directors by contributing to the definition of strategic directions, the long-term sustainability of business models, and the recognition and promotion of works.
Passionate about music and driven by a strong sense of responsibility, I am confident that my experience and understanding of industry issues can strengthen the reflections and decisions of a forward-looking Board.

Improving data management timelines and member services.
What measures can we implement to modernize our systems and reduce processing times in order to provide faster, more efficient services to members?
Addressing the decline in master recording revenues.
How can we diversify revenue sources and negotiate better agreements to offset the low royalties paid by streaming platforms?
Increasing the visibility and dissemination of works.
What strategies should we adopt to increase the visibility of works and optimize their dissemination to target audiences?
