SOCAN Members Need You.
Do your part to create a bright future for SOCAN writers, composers and publishers.
The SOCAN Board of Directors is comprised exclusively of SOCAN members. They are elected by and accountable to its members. The Board is responsible for working with the SOCAN leadership team to set and manage the strategic plan for the company, approval of budgets and working with the CEO to develop, implement and monitor policy that allows SOCAN to carry out its work.
Voting gets underway in May 14th for the 2024 SOCAN Board of Directors election.
SOCAN members who received performing rights royalties in the 2023 calendar year will be eligible to cast their votes and elect the Board of Directors for three different terms as we move into a staggered election process. Six directors will each be elected for a 2024-2025 term, 2024-2026 term, and 2024-2027 term this year. Learn more about voting.
You will be able to cast your vote after logging into your SOCAN online account.
