SOCAN Members Need You.

Do your part to create a bright future for SOCAN writers, composers and publishers.

The SOCAN Board of Directors is comprised exclusively of SOCAN members. They are elected by and accountable to its members. The Board is responsible for working with the SOCAN leadership team to set and manage the strategic plan for the company, approval of budgets and working with the CEO to develop, implement and monitor policy that allows SOCAN to carry out its work.

Voting gets underway on April 30 for the 2025 SOCAN Board of Directors election. 

SOCAN members who received royalties in the 2024 calendar year will be eligible to cast their votes and elect six new directors for a three-year term. Learn more about voting.

Voting closes May 21, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET. 

The successful candidates elected to the Board of Directors will be announced the week following SOCAN’s 2025 Annual General Meeting which takes place May 21st, 2025.
